From a corpus of non-gilt brass works made during the 15th and 16th century in a Tsang province workshop, depicting the historical buddha in the traditional ‘calling Earth to witness’ pose, with a small vajra sceptre before him to recall the place where he reached enlightenment.

A similar work with the inner layer of the sanghati pleated under the breast and the border of the garment embroidered with a floral design. The eyes are semi-closed and the smile is wider.

This one has rather slanted eyes and mouth. On all of them the shape of the hair bun and the style of the lotus base is the same.
